I thought I'd start off Day 1 of the 30 for 30 Challenge by wearing two dresses together. For someone who is a self-proclaimed dress lover, I can't believe I've never tried this layering combination before because it is so easy. It also helps that these dresses are lightweight and are in the same color palette. I like that they complement the natural colors of the trail's foliage. I feel indomitable in this outfit.
What you don't see in these pictures is my overcoat -- it was freezing on Friday, so for the few minutes I was jacketless, my fingers were jammed into my top dress's pockets. Almost all my photos came out that way -- I promise I'm not a slouch!
Don't forget to check out the other participants in Kendi's 30 for 30 Challenge!
Love, love, LOVE this combo! How perfect that the top dress picks up that gorgeous blue in the under dress. And I can't imagine how freezing you must have been in short sleeves!
ReplyDeleteP.S.- ADORE your belt. It's kind of perfection.
Beautiful colour combination! I love how nature inspires what you wear. I'm very excited to see what other outfits you come up with for your 30 for 30!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I haven't thought of layering dresses either... it's on the list of things to try for sure!
ReplyDeleteThey look great together....love your belt hunnie!!

ReplyDeleteOooh I'm so bummed i missed out on this project. I'd be all over this! The stars were just not aligned. Great outfit though. Can't wait to see the rest.
ReplyDeleteLayering dresses is super smart.I like your first outfit and I hope to see the top dress again!I also take the challenge!
ReplyDeletesuper cute (as always) and colorful.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great look. I've always wanted to try layering dresses like this. It's a great look. I'd love to see how it looks with the coat on too, though. People always take their coats off for outfit photos, which I understand, but I find myself wishing I could see how other stylish ladies look with the coat on, because I feel like such a schlub when I have to put the coat over the pretty dress.
ReplyDeleteWhat a dynamite pairing of dresses!
ReplyDeleteAh, now that is a brilliant combination. I do the dress + skirt combo but not dress on dress. Hmnn.. I may try that!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, as always Miss J!

ReplyDeleteToo bad I only included one dress in my remix. But this has my creative juices flowing...
Happy remixing!

ReplyDeleteOhhh I love the layered dresses! And your belt is wicked cool! This project sounds really neat.
ReplyDeleteI love the layering! I would never think of two dresses, but I like that you have the sleeves of the blue dress and the few inches of blue at the bottom. So clever!
