Here's what I wore on Friday -- the weather was so nice I didn't need a sweater. I particularly liked this pattern combination of reds and blues. I've worn my pocket watch as a necklace a couple of times, but this is the first closeup I've taken of it. Its tick-tick-ticks are a pretty comforting sound, and make me feel a little like the Tin Man from the "Wizard of Oz."
The weekend was pretty great. One of our good friends V. came to town and we got dressed up in costumes and headed downtown. Downtown is a whole other experience during Halloween -- so many conversations were started because of this costume detail or that. I ended up rewearing my Wonder Woman costume when I couldn't assemble all the pieces for my Tippi Hedren "The Birds" costume. It ended up being okay because Wonder Woman is pretty recognizable.
The rest of the weekend was spent watching football, eating Brunswick stew and watching scary movies. How was your weekend?
LOVE the mixed prints....you rocked this one:)

Cool locket! Love the mixed prints!
ReplyDeleteYou fooled me! The first picture looks like it's all one dress, really good idea!
ReplyDeleteJoann! Did you use your Olympus camera here??
ReplyDeleteYou rock mixed prints, by the way! Not a lot of people can pull that off1
I'm so glad you took a detail shot of your watch-turned necklace. It is stunning up close and has a real vintage-y vibe. I also find the sound of clocks to be comforting. I have four clocks in my studio apartment, and I love hearing the ticking. But they don't help my punctuality problem at all!
ReplyDeleteThis is KILLIN' IT! I can't get over how much I LOVE this combination. It's not just the prints -- the silhouette with the shoes is nothing short of perfection on you!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!! I love the prints, and the watch as locket is such an awesome idea!! Glad you had a great costume, that's always fun! :)
