It's the end of the first week of the 30 for 30 Challenge! Hope you other remixers are faring well!
This is one of those dresses that often wants to be the showcase item of the closet and doesn't want to pair with other pieces. It's a prima donna, through and through. If it were an animal, it'd be a wild horse; if it were a song, it'd be "Can't Be Tamed"; okay, I think you get the picture. But I was determined to make it work on Wednesday when I wore it with brown sweater and neutral accessories. Do you have any showcase items in your closet, and how do you tame them to wear for everyday?

This is a great color on you!!
ReplyDeleteI think you should have titled this post "Lady In Red", but maybe you can save that for another time :)
ReplyDeleteI love this dress! It is uberflattering and I like how you tamed it. I also adore this necklace! Would you mind sending someone back to the Phillippines to snag one for me? Thanks!
very cute shoes.
ReplyDeleteI think you've tamed it well. Great color. And the necklace is beautiful - so intricate!
ReplyDeletecheers,

You are doing so many fun things with the 30/30! But red is a great color on you and the shoes are a great compliment.

I have a dress with so much metal on it, my sister dubbed it "the armor dress." It is most definitely a prima donna and a beast as it attacks knits! Maybe we should introduce them...
ReplyDeleteYup, I agree, she's meant to be worn alone!
ReplyDeleteI do have stars in my closet, too many, i've never worn alot of them. that's how diva-ish they are!

This is just too sweet for words. It looks so feminine and comfy. I adore your shoes, they'll go great with anything! Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteNice place to take pix! I love looking at ducks.
ReplyDeletepretty color! the dress is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteThat's such a pretty dress! I love the sleeves and the color of it. <3
ReplyDeleteYou are right -- what a gorgeous dress. And the necklace is just stunning! One of my showstopper dresses is Anthropologie's Dagmar Shirtdress. It's bright red with huge blooms, and every time I wear it, I have to think, "hm...do I really want THAT much attention today?" But I think that wearing a black swingcoat with it will add some subtlety for those days when I don't want to be quite so conspicuous!
ReplyDeleteYeah I have a dress like that... I wore it with a black blazer last week and I think I'll try and wear it over black leggings next week... not too creative but it's so hard to remix some items!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!! And I love that necklace too! I have some pieces that are hard to style for sure, but I'm not sure I have any prima donna's... I'll have to think this now! Great pictures too!! :)
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful lake and love the outfit!
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes!!! And the fact that they are from Target <3 'Em more!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. Best. sweater-vest. EVER!
ReplyDeleteI have those shoes :D Nice.
