Lately, all I've wanted on my Christmas list is an extra day tacked onto my week. It seems like every free moment I've had has been spent either working on graduate school applications/networking, or shopping for Christmas presents. I'm not complaining too much -- it feels a little exhilarating to finally put some of my plans in motion. And believe it or not, one of the unexpected perks of this 30 for 30 Remix Challenge is that not shopping for myself has made it easier to shop for others for Christmas. I've been channeling any desires for myself (which haven't been many) into finding awesome gifts for others.
Day 8 of the Challenge was a dark and dreary day, and it was one of those days where I had to spend all of my free time constantly moving. I turned to some comfort clothing, which include ruffles and dreamy florals for me. It's hard to believe I've never done this exact combination before, because I wear these clothes so often. The headband's bright color offset the dismal weather, and the floral pattern of the dress seemed to complement the landscape. Comfort clothing for a yuck day -- what could be better?

ReplyDeleteI hear you on your wish! I barely have time for anything these days. I have just spent the past 11 hours working - with a 35 minute break to shower and get dressed and a 7 minute commute each way to campus.
Perk I didn't suspect was all the new blogs that are super easy to find and read.
ReplyDeleteA perk I didn't fully realize is all the new readers. I hope they stick around after the challenge is over.
I don't know if you watch Gossip Girl, but that headband is SO Blair Waldorf. I love it!

ReplyDeleteI agree about the challenge. I've had a great time finding new ways to wear things. Today I wore a sweater dress as a sweater and paired it with a skirt. The things we come up with!
