Dress (as skirt): BR, from Marilou;
Sweater: Faded Glory;
Belt: LOFT;
Scarf: H&M;
Boots: Target.
This was the third outfit I tried on Sunday, and it just seemed to go well. The dress was one of my goodies from my Christmas package from Marilou of Twenty York Street -- we decided to exchange presents this year, and she sent hers early! I loved the blurry grey lines of the dress, and so for its first outing, I paired it with the abstract reds in my scarf. Between the blurs of my outfit and the natural surroundings behind me, I feel like these photos would be at home in an Impressionist painting. Although I've always thought that the perfect reflection of the sky in the lake is probably a fit with Surrealism -- which way is sky? Which way is ground?

I love that dress-as-skirt! It's got such an interesting, eye-catching print that goes wonderfully with the belted red sweater. This is a favorite, JoAnn!

ReplyDeleteThe red sweater looks so cozy too!
Yay, I'm loving the pattern on that dress! And it looks just beautiful with the red sweater and brown boots. I can see this dress quickly becoming a wardrobe staple!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I love it! ML sent me the same dress but I haven't worn it yet. It's so gorgeous on you! I love how you styled it with the cardigan and the pattern mixing with the sweater.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to catch up yet with my own subscriptions so I'm not checking out any of the new ones from the 30 for 30. I will. Eventually. :)
I love that dress, and it looks great paired with the red cardigan and scarf.

This skirt, sweater and top go so well together. And I love that the skirt and scarf would not probably be a 'regular' combination most people would think of. - Katy
ReplyDeleteI'm finding so many new blogs thanks to this challenge cuteandlittleone.blogspot.com is one new one that comes immediately to mind.
The dress is fantastic, and as always, you do red so, so well. I discovered A Pretty Penny through the challenge-- www.aprettypennyblog.com

ReplyDeleteI remember that dress from BR. I love the smokey purple with the bright red sweater!
ReplyDeleteLovely combo! I included those same boots in my 30 items. I'm slowly but surely making my way to everyone's blog, but so far I really like Blue Collar Catwalk and What Would a Nerd Wear.
