Here's the stream of consciousness that was going through my head when I got this dress: Red. Scarlett O'Hara. Tailgating attire? 1980s. Red. Joan Collins. Designing Women. Red. RED.
Totally, totally sold on it. I even love the little squares in the pattern of the dress because I think that is such a 1980s clothing feature. The red is really not toned down at all in real life -- it's so in-your-face-I've-arrived red, and I love that it's such a bold color. I contemplated waiting to wear it until I got it hemmed up, but I kind of like the longer hemline, especially for fall. I wore this to the farm park for photos and to trivia.
What kind of colors (and hemlines) are you embracing this season?
Oh my god. You're looking like a perfect dream. Love your dress. xx, Alice :)
ReplyDeleteI want to be where you are! I love your red dress and bracelet. It looks great!

I love the red on you. Red is one of my two favorite colors. However, I've been big in to like rosy pink and oatmeal this fall. Not really that vibrant, but I love them. I also have been a big fan of royal blue. I have this royal blue dress I need to wear. It is hanging in my closet and driving me nuts!
ReplyDeleteRed is my favorite color, so I definitely love this dress! I wish there was a closer picture because I see there is a pattern on the dress but would love a closer detailed look! So pretty, and that bracelt is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress on you! It's so so perfect.
ReplyDeleteI like the longer hem line! The color is so gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteI love that dress on you!! I also have been wearing longer length dresses this fall. As for colors, I can't seem to get enough of rust and olive green together.

ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous in red! The dress looks great with your dark hair. Awesome bracelet!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic - I think you look stunning in the red color palette, and I really like the peek of lace.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!! What a fabulous dress! And that bracelet rocks too! Definitely very 80's, but in a good way! Hah, I can't really embrace just one color for a season, but I usually like knee length and just above the knee on my skirts and dresses, but I like trying longer hemlines every now and then too! :)
ReplyDeleteI love you in red!!! and Im drooling over that bracelt...its gorgeous:)

While browsing through your blog I realised THE THING. I must have more dresses. More and more and more and more. Love your style and smile. Best wishes,

A lovely lady in red! The drape on this dress is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteRed is a color I haven't explore yet.It has endless possibilities I suspect. My favoutite hemline is at the knee.
ReplyDeleteOh, red looks so good on you. my hubby (who is Malaysian chinese) always wants me to wear red (of course!) but it never looks quite that good on me. But I have found that a darker richer red does work quite well - a burgundy or maroon. I wish I could wear the bold red like you are!
ReplyDeleteI wear my hemlines - nearly all of them, within a couple of inches of my knees ... it just seems to work better. I think recently I've found what length works for me and I've become less adventurous, rather than more.
I wish I could go thrifting with you! you have such wonderful luck, especially with dresses. ... :)
I love how your lace cami is peeking from your dress. It's a small detail, but makes a huge difference.
ReplyDeleteI love this dress. I would keep the length as is. It looks great on you :)
ReplyDeleteOh that red is gorgeous on you! It's such a confident red, and you look confident (and cool, and classy, too) wearing it. I'm glad you kept it that length - it feels very fresh. And you can always get it hemmed if you ever tire of it at that length.
ReplyDeleteI have been leaning twoards brown for fall. It's a little odd because that would not normally be my neutral of choice but, I'm running with it! Red works really well too thought :)
ReplyDeletevery pretty red dress!!
