I thought I'd make my thrift finds an occasional feature. I found these on a recent trip to Goodwill, and I think they're going to make a few rotations in my wardrobe this summer.
Liz Claiborne brown backpack: I know mini-backpacks aren't the most stylish thing in the world, but I couldn't resist picking this one up. It reminds me of the first purse I ever owned when I was nine, which was a white mini-backpack with a floral print. This new one seems like the grownup version of that with its rich brown color, buckle straps and braided detailing. It can even hold all my essentials. I would probably wear the straps flung over one shoulder.
Printed scarf: I need more of these in my collection, and I really love the pattern and colors. It's about medium-sized, which means it can just easily work as a neck scarf or a belt.
Total wallet damage: $3.90
How would you style these pieces?
Thrifting is one of my favorite things in the whole world!
ReplyDeleteI recently blogged about my trip to one of our largest flea markets here in New England!
I would wear that gorgeous bag with a cute summer dress and boots!

note to self- THRIFT for the satchel that I'm looking for...
ReplyDeletePS- I had a maroon mini backpack- LOVED IT, had to have it!
Loving that bag! Great find.
ReplyDeleteI love sharing thrift scores! That Liz bag is awesome. I've spotted a few backpack purses that I really like, and I think they're definitely a great option. Especially one like this that's classic but has interesting details. I'd wear it with a really tailored menswear inspired look, or a flowy sundress with a cardigan :)
ReplyDeleteUgh, I just love Goodwill and thrifting! I really need to set some time aside to go! Love the items you found! xo
ReplyDeleteOoh! So cute! I really love the backpack - I tend to go with safari styling a lot and that would be so perfect!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to have found another thrifty fashion friend! I am newly following! I think you should tie the scarf to the bag!!
