Dress: LOFT;
Scarf: thrifted;
Jade bracelet: thrifted;
Shoes: Aerosoles.
How I've worn the dress before: here.
Jeremiah was at work, so I took this set of photos with my tripod. I usually don't take my photos so close to dusk, but I really like how cool-toned they came out.
Here's the pretty scarf that I recently thrifted -- I thought it was fun to pattern mix it with my engagement dress. It's been really hot so the light layers (plus a little scarf for A/C'ed rooms) definitely helped.
In other news, I'm changing around the layout of the blog, so things might be a little different-looking throughout the week -- right now I'm working on margins and tabs. I'm teaching myself html, and even though it's not super easy, I like the idea that this blog is truly a diy project! Let me know if you have any suggestions for the layout -- for you blog customizers, I'd love to know your shortcuts. :)
Crepuscular is one of my FAVORITE words ever!
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of the scarf and the print of your dress. Tres chic. Can't wait to see what your new layout will look like.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, as I'm packing my closet, your dress project has become an inspiration for me to do something like that. You may see an email from me soon about that. :)
Ditto Sal, I ADORE the word "crepuscular". And I love this pattern mixing!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sal & Clare: great word usage. Seeing the post title made me smile.
ReplyDeleteGood luck working with the blog layout! I hope to do that a bit too, especially in July when I have the month off! Maybe we can trade tips!!
OH HAI!
ReplyDeleteI'm still around, randomly creeping peeps but alas the blog is done. Thanks for the kind word on Yen's blog.
IF you were any cuter, my teeth would fall out from the overload of...sweet? Hmm, sounded more clever in my head.
I love the scarf with this dress!
ReplyDeleteMy shortcut was to hire A of The Glam Grad Student to do the new layout for us at Fashionable Academics. Her rates are very reasonable.
