I'm pretty sure I've accidentally stumbled into Eden. This park is insanely pretty and we still have tons of exploring to do.
About this outfit. You can take the girl out of the dress, but you can't take the dressing up out of the girl. It's been four days since the Project ended and I'm back to my old ways. This is Dress #5 from The Dress Project. I decided to go with opposite colors today to make the dress stand out a little more. I added a bag I thrifted back in high school and still adore. And my new heels make me four inches taller! I felt pretty great about this outfit combination.
I cannot stop playing Rufus Wainwright songs in the car this week. He was my favorite artist back in high school, and now re-listening to his lyrics, I feel like I'm reinterpreting what they mean. Do you ever do that with old music favorites?
Happy Wednesday,
I love the background! All your photos look great! It is some kind of Eden Your bright cardi makes me want the summer so bad. But it's raining and cold here in San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteI <3 Rufus. I got to see him several years ago, and at the end, he came out in a bathrobe, and undressed and started doing a Judy Garland number with dancing men. For one song, he sang without a mic unaccompanied. That man has some serious pipes.
What a gorgeous park! The dress is pretty lovely, too!
ReplyDeleteI just realized you weren't on our blogroll, so I just added you.
Love the purse! Great thrift find!
ReplyDeletei love that bag--so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I really like the sandals! I've been wanting one new pair of summer sandals to update my shoe collection. Those are a pretty great option.

I definitely do the "re-visiting old music" thing. I think that's the best kind of music -- the kind you can listen to again years later and get a whole new meaning from. It shows that the songs have a staying/growing power.
ReplyDeleteYour dress is wonderful, and just because the dress project is over doesn't mean that you should stop wearing dresses! Especially since you look so adorable!
Hmmm, I have never been much of a cross-body bag girl, but there is something about the size and placement of yours that is super flattering and amazing. I may have to go on the hunt for one that flatters me this way.
ReplyDeleteThis whole outfit is really cute. And way to find a really cool backdrop! Jealous...
