Another black dress day, and this one definitely needed some color. I'm not sure why I have so many black dresses when I don't really wear them that often. Note to self: stop buying what you don't like to wear.
Anyways, this belt is probably one of the oldest things in my closet (besides my Disney World dress). I bought it when I was on spring break with my best friend Liz back in 10th grade. The belt is meant to be worn low-slung, like with jeans. It used to have long strings to attach the two ends together, but I cut those off recently and now fasten the belt with a brooch so it can fit around my waist. I love it when I can fix a fit problem without resorting to tailoring!
What are your plans for this weekend? I'm planning on going home for Easter, and hopefully eating yummy rolls and jellybeans! Whatever you do, hope it's great.
I love how you incorporated the teal in the belt and shoes! I love black dresses, I have to restrain myself from getting more!
ReplyDeleteI have to keep telling myself that little "don't buy what you won't wear" mantra, too. I love the belt. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the turquoise with black. This dress looks fabulous on you.
ReplyDeleteEaster's kind of lowkey for my family this year as most of the extended family members are out of town (or the country, lucky ducks). Celebrating the boyfriend's mom's birthday tomorrow and then probably stopping by to celebrate with both of our families on Sunday. Have a great Easter!
I love the pop of turquoise from the belt and your sandals! So fun.
ReplyDeleteThis looks lovely, the belt is so pretty !
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous belt!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic!

ReplyDeleteThat belt is also awesome. Well done!
Those are killer shoes! The only wedges I can bear to wear are aerosoles and yours are just awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou look great - Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Peep wrestling and confetti eggs with my BF's nephews and niece.
i don't know if it's because i'm just looking at black and how to style it lately but i am really loving the black dresses on you! the belt is awesome and i agree... anytime you can avoid tailoring makes the fix a billion times more satisfying :)
ReplyDeleteGreat splashes of turquoise! Your belt and shoes are such great, unique pieces. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this look. That dress is so flattering on you, it's like it was made for you!
