The windy cold made outdoor photos seem dreadful, so here's my attempt at indoor photos. I'll admit I'm feeling a bit under the weather so I look somewhat disheveled in these photos. Can't be a winner everyday -- hope it's sunny and nice tomorrow.
About the outfit. This is day four of The Dress Project and this ensemble is a direct result of watching old movies late at night. "Bonnie & Clyde" came on a couple weeks ago and I've been loving Faye Dunaway's style in the movie. Pretty scarves and sweaters? Yes, please:

under the weather? you look fantastic! I usually have kleenex balls shoved up my nose when I'm sick.
ReplyDeleteI really want to see that movie, although now I fear it may spark a naughty spending spree on a new scarf collection
The shirt dress is lovely and I love the pop of color from the scarf!

I love a shirtdress - this one looks fantastic, especially how you've styled it! I love the scarf touch, and love even more that you showed us what inspired this look.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better and have a wonderful weekend!
I just need to tell you that I counted my dresses.... I have 30 now (I say now, because I bought 2 more yesterday) and I can't see myself getting rid of any of them (ok maybe 1 or 2) nor can I see myself stop buying dresses... so I'm realizing that I'm not that far from a dress project myself!
ReplyDeleteWhat a marvelous shirt dress - and you've styled it perfectly! The dark colors make such a great contrast to that springy pinstripe.
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit and its inspiration--what a great scarf!
ReplyDeleteMariel at preppy with a twist just did an outfit inspired by the Bonnie & Clyde movie, too! (http://preppywithatwist.tumblr.com/post/411327762/most-wanted) I love your layering...and I need to remind myself to look for square scarves!
ReplyDeleteI see Becky's comment above about my Bonnie-inspired outfit, but I just wanted to say that it's neat that we both had the same inspiration and yet our outfits turned out totally different! I love it!
ReplyDeletejust started following your blog - your classic and elegant style is marvelous! absolutely loving how you tied your scarf in the 1930s aesthetic.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to more amazing posts! :)
